Aleks is a New York based reporter covering DeFi.

He began working as a reporter at newspapers in the Deep South -- first at the Index-Journal in
Greenwood, South Carolina, later at the Marietta Daily Journal in Cobb County, Georgia, where his coverage won awards in investigative and enterprise reporting. Most recently, he covered decentralised finance at The Defiant.

He is a graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
