Coral Protocol, the open infrastructure powering the Agentic Economy, partnered with Solana to host the Internet of Agents Hackathon in New York City. The event proved what’s possible with Coral v1, showcasing the first marketplace where AI agents collaborate, transact, and scale into real businesses.
The hackathon brought together a global community of more than 3,000 developers, forming nearly 400 teams and delivering over 100 accepted submissions in just one week. With a prize pool of $100,000, the event rewarded outstanding projects across categories such as Agent Developers, Application Developers, and Partner Technologies building real-world use cases. Developers used Coral’s Solana-powered infrastructure to build agents that weren’t just prototypes, but fully functioning applications tackling real challenges in healthcare, finance, content creation, decentralised finance, education, climate, and more.
The competition was powered not just by Coral’s Solana-based infrastructure, but also by the active involvement of leading technology partners including Mistral AI, ElevenLabs, Crossmint, Lovable, AI/ML API, Nebius, LabLab.ai, and NativelyAI, who provided tools, integrations, workshops, and mentorship.
To strengthen the competition, Coral flew in 20 of London’s top AI developers from its Mafia in Manhattan prep event to compete alongside the global talent pool. Throughout the week, Coral’s co-founders Roman Georgio and Caelum Forder led workshops both online and in-person, joined by partners and the LabLab.ai team to provide hands-on guidance. The hackathon concluded with finalists pitching their projects live at Solana Skyline NYC, where they connected directly with investors and showcased how their agents could evolve into sustainable businesses.

To further accelerate momentum, Coral introduced $27,500 worth of post-hack bounties, encouraging teams to keep building after the event. These bounties reward growth-focused milestones such as reaching $1,000 ARR, attracting 100 sign-ups, securing 500+ likes on a LinkedIn post, or landing coverage from top YouTubers incentivising developers to turn their prototypes into businesses.
Roman Georgio, Co-founder of Coral Protocol, said “V1 was just the start. The next hack will be bigger, the marketplace will have a smooth UI, attestation will be added to verify the agents, and the developer experience will be greatly improved.”
Coral Protocol is the open infrastructure connecting the Internet of Agents. It enables AI agents to collaborate, trust, and transact, creating the economic backbone of the Agentic Economy. Built on Solana for secure, cost-efficient settlement, Coral allows developers to deploy agents into a live marketplace where they can be discovered, rented, and paid automatically.
Coral Protocol extends its thanks to Solana, Mistral AI, ElevenLabs, Crossmint, Lovable, AI/ML API, Nebius, LabLab.ai, and NativelyAI for their contributions to making the Internet of Agents Hackathon possible.
